Focus on Stroke VIII

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Stroke Network, the CIHR Institute of Aging and the CIHR Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health are pleased to announce the Request for Applications (RFA) for Focus on Stroke VIII.

The objective of the Focus on Stroke program has changed for 2008. The emphasis of this strategic initiative is on building capacity for later pillar stroke research and supporting research of health professionals.

Increased stroke research capacity is needed in Canada to build on recent advances in stroke medicine and to prepare the health care system for the rising burden of stroke due to the aging population.
