Results of the Focus on Stroke VII Personnel Awards Competition

(November 2007 Competition)

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Stroke Network, the CIHR Institute of Aging and the CIHR Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health are pleased to announce the results of the seventh Focus on Stroke personnel awards competition.

This special competition was launched to increase capacity for stroke research in Canada and to address the shortage of highly qualified personnel working in this important area. This initiative has provided new funding opportunities for training through Doctoral Research Awards and Postdoctoral Fellowships in the field of stroke. For this competition a total of 36 applications were reviewed.
