Research, Policy and Planning Advisory Committee (RPPAC)

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC)'s innovative strategic Research Fund is guided  by a diverse group of professionals from across the country. The Research Policy and Planning Advisory Committee (RPPAC) is made up of clinicians and researchers from fields such as physiotherapy, neurology, kinesiology, behavioural research, and cardiovascular sciences. Its lay members come from diverse backgrounds including law and communications. RPPAC provides strategic advice and recommendations to HSFC's Board of Directors on the Foundation’s research enterprise. The committee meets three to four times a year.

A key priority for RPPAC is to apply the Research Fund’s Managed Research Cycle (MRC), guided by the Fund’s new intellectual framework. This means defining how we align strategic research initiatives with the Foundation’s mission priorities and better integrating knowledge transfer and exchange into the funding cycle.
